After spending almost 20 years working at the worlds largest firms PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and two national firms Grant Thornton, and Weaver, I noticed a consistent issue. NonProfits do not get the respect and needs that they deserve. Especially when it comes to accounting and bookkeeping.
In 2018, I left my career as the National NonProfit Leader of Weaver and started my own accounting firm, TBFoster LLP and Your NonProfit Accounting Team – with no money and no clients. It was daunting to think about how I would make it and provide for my family. Going from a national partner at a large firm to doing everything on my own. I needed to adapt and do it quickly.
I developed a new approach to working with clients – going beyond the once a year relationship with the audit and focusing on solving business problems, adding value, and serving the day-to-day needs of NonProfits.
Today we serve ONLY NonProfit clients, helping their organizations flourish so they can focus on what they do best, their mission.
